My Story

I was born in Czechia and came to US as a young traveler. I lived in different states throughout the country and have traveled through most of them.

While living in Las Vegas, I attended massage school and then moved back to Maui, where I spent a total of 15 years. In 2023, my husband and I decided to move to the mainland, and we chose Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

During my travels, I visited over 25 countries on 5 continents and studied massage under various teachers from all over the world.

While living on Maui, I fell in love with the ancient art of Lomi Lomi and spent over 10 years studying with local teachers and kahuna (Hawaiian shaman) to learn their art of healing through massage.

I also worked at a Chiropractic office in Lahaina over 10 years, which gave me experience working on injuries and helping clients with their recovery after accidents.

This practice created the opportunity to work on local clientele, which helped me to open up a place in the historic center of Lahaina - Mystic Maui, a combination of massage, crystals and art. Although it was hard to leave behind this dream business, clients that became friends over the years, and my longtime friend and business partner, it was meant to be. A couple months after my departure, the whole place burned down, ending one chapter in my life.

Thai massage is another modality I studied in its origins - Chiang Mai, Thailand. I spent there about 3 months total on different massage retreats.

Another trip took me to Australia, where I learned an energy healing technique - Reconnection by Dr. Eric Pearl.  Although the teacher comes from California, he teaches his technique all over the world.

I studied many therapeutic modalities and energy works, which allows me to find the perfect touch and technique to suit each client.

There is much more to learn and explore, but meantime, I would love to share the knowledge I have collected over the years with you. I look forward to seeing you at my little massage place. Aloha E!

Elk River Massage

Elk River Massage - How the name of my business became and the meaning of it.

First, it was my husband's idea, and I guess being located by one of the main roads in Steamboat Springs named Elk River Road was one of the factors.

Second, I looked into the meaning of the Elk, and I really liked it. It resonated with my new business and the feel of this new space.

Elk - the King of the forest - is a symbol of strength, stamina, and pride in many cultures. It represents a connection to the earth and nature, as well as the ability to navigate and adapt to the challenges of life with grace and dignity. The shedding of elk antlers symbolizes transformation, renewal, and the cyclical nature of life. The antlers are also a symbol of authority and protection.

Elk are believed to be the protector of the good people, as elk symbolize divine protection from evil.

The elk also represents power and mastery over one's life. The elk is an animal with dignity which always follows the right path and helps people with good hearts.
